Why membership?

Due to the high demand to continue offering ski and snowboard trips under the Women Who Ski (WWS) banner going into the 2024 / 2025 winter season, it is imperative we evolve to a membership model to administrate and facilitate offering quality ski vacation packages. When a group such as Women Who Ski (originally just a Facebook group) works with a travel agent to hold a block of rooms, the group must put down a deposit. Without a treasury from which to draw the deposit, Women Who Ski is unable to have access to quality lodging at the best ski resorts. There are many groups and ski clubs vying for these properties. If you want to join us on our ski and snowboard trips, you’ll need to be a paying member of Women Who Ski. We are excited for the upcoming season!

Cost for annual Women Who Ski Club membership
for 2024 / 2025 (June 1, 2024 - May 31, 2025):
$48

Must be a member to attend our trips. No refunds on membership fee.

Women Who Ski Vacation Packages Include:

• Discounted room rate for single and double rooms
• One or two happy hours with complimentary food and drinks
• Shuttle to and from the mountain each day
• Mountain tour first day when available
• Small group of no more than 25 ladies
• Women to ski and “aprés” with each day

• Pre-trip meet and greet Zoom meeting
• Opportunity for non-ski group activity add-on like snowmobiling,

• Private group chat during the trip so you always know where the fun is
• All participants’ contact info (opt-ins only) after the trip to stay in touch
• Raffle with fun WWS giveaways and other merchandise

“It’s great to be with likeminded people. We all not only love to ski, but we do other things. We mountain bike, we hike. It’s really good networking. ”

2024 / 2025 Winter Season Ski and Snowboard Trips

Update from Genevieve on Sept. 7, 2024: I promised early bird paying members (offered in June 2024) access to two ski and snowboard vacation packages for this upcoming season with one destination being an Epic Pass resort and one destination being an Ikon Pass resort. Because it’s my desire to overdeliver this first year on my promise as a thank you to inaugural members investing in our membership model, I offered a third trip as well. Here is where we are going.

The Epic Pass Resort is Breckenridge: there are spots still left.
The Ikon Pass resort is Jackson Hole, now sold out.
The third bonus trip is Big Sky Resort (Ikon). That sold out in two weeks. Early paying members had access to this information the first week in July. That’s the benefit of paying membership early.

THE SMILES YOU SEE IN OUR PHOTOS
By the way, all the photos you see on this page are from last season’s official Women Who Ski trips. The majority of these ladies traveled solo and were strangers to one another on hour 1. By hour 2, during our opening night happy hour, fast friendships were formed—the hallmark of our gatherings. Lots of smiles and hugs exuding warm hearts for this lovely community that comes together for a ladies-only special vacation.

Experience this magic—the heart—that special bond that forms among Women Who Ski’ers where no one wants the trip to end. The above photo is from our Sun Valley trip, with the ladies enjoying aprés ski after a fabulous last day skiing together.

Membership Benefits Include:

    Early Access to our Trips

Exclusive first access to our ski and snowboard trips. Information sent via newsletter directly to your email inbox. Paid members will have time to decide to commit. Only if there are unsold spots as the deadline approaches will the trip will be offered to our Women Who Ski members in our Facebook group. Anyone who decides to go on our trips will then have to pay the membership fee. Paying your membership fee sooner ensures you have early access to a spot on our trips. Last year, all four trips sold out relatively quickly.

Better Chance to Secure a Spot

Trips are sold on a first come / first serve basis, so being a paid member means you are the first to know about our trips, increasing your likelihood of securina a spot. Maximum number of spots is 25 including one or two trip ambassadors. Being a paying member does not guarantee a spot. Paying a non-refundable deposit is what holds your spot. Again, membership buys you access to our trips.

    Curated Deals

Members will have access to a private page on our website with discount codes. Members will receive an email with a password to access page in early October 2024. Here’s what’s been curated for the 2024/2025 season.

    1) Mountain Range of Motion, LLC:
20% off online ski fitness classes, and 20% off personal training sessions with physical therapist with free initial 15 minute consult.
    2) Stio, 40% off purchases.
    3) Backcountry.com, 15% off
    4) Palisades Tahoe, discounts on lodging, lift tickets, rentals and more not offered to general public.

More Membership Perks

  • Access to our Exclusive Mountain Chats

Members have access to join exclusive group text channels for major ski area / resorts so members can meet-up in real time with other members at that location. This private texting channel will allow you to send out a text to other WWS members at that resort any given day and time and connect with them. Non-paying members on our Facebook group do that by creating a “meet-up” notice in the Events tab but there is a delay as not everyone is on Facebook every second of the day. A private text to, say, the Big Sky Resort channel can alert others in the group in real time where you want to meet while keeping track of who’s where and when. Being part of the channel can also motivate you to ski more if you know one or two ladies want to meet up that day.

Investment in a New Ski Venture

A toast to us! If you’re a member of the Women Who Ski Facebook group, you feel the excitement, positive energy, and virtual love as we encourage and high-five each other on our posts. That same compassion and support characterizes our in-person trips. Your membership fee not only helps us secure lodging for trips, but will help offset expenses to maintain this incredible community through this website and domain name, the WWS newsletter, mailing list, and the membership portal, as well as the swag we give away. You can feel good that you’re paying it forward by helping attract more women to the sport by how we show our heart to them. Looking Ahead

Based on initial interest in the WWS membership this first season, 2024 / 2025, we will be exploring the possibility of partnering with organizations who want to work with us. We will expand our curated discounts to include experiences like women’s ski clinics, trade shows, and related events. Looking ahead, as we find ambassadors, they can help us host WWS social meet-ups to keep the love and energy going.
The sky’s the limit!

Our Commitment to Each Other

“As I work to build the first Women Who Ski membership model, I am committing to serve you with curated all-women trips defined by camaraderie, fast friendships, and lifetime memories. In addition, the private mountain chat channels I’m developing, along with the discounts I secure will further my goal of connecting you to a new ski or snowboard friend. You will, in turn, be investing by paying a non-refundable membership fee to have access to these benefits. We can both feel blessed that we are investing in something new and exciting that will impact the greater outdoor winter community by attracting more women to the sport.”
